The employee engagement survey is a tool that managers use to get an idea of what their team thinks of the firm that employs them and their jobs. However, even though managers put in a lot of effort to create the perfect survey. A simple way to use an employee survey to increase engagement is by gathering regular feedback from your team.

To do this, you need to ask the right questions. By asking the right questions, you'll learn how your team is feeling at any point in time. Some questions to ask include:

1. How satisfied are you at your job, on a scale of 1 to 10?

This is an important question that you should start off with to really gauge how your employees feel and to get employee engagement right. By gathering up information on the morale of your employees on a 10-point scale, you'll be able to continue tracking this morale over time. But, you need to be consistent with it by using a survey tool like this regularly.

2. Can you see yourself working here five years from now?

Another good question to ask to give you a basic idea of what your team thinks about your company and if they see themselves growing with it. If you're focusing on survey questions about employee satisfaction, you may want to lead with this question.

3. Do you know what's expected of you as far as your objectives and goals?

A question like this on your online survey software will shed light on how your team perceives their job and if management is doing a good job conveying their message to the team.

4. Would you refer other people to work for the company?

If your employee is willing to refer another person to the company, this is a good indication that they're satisfied with their own job. But, if they're not happy, you can bet they won't be referring anyone to the company.

5. Do you clearly understand your job or promotion path?

When employees get ample opportunity to continually enhance their skills and develop in the workplace, they'll be more likely to stick around. Ask your team if they clearly understand what's in their future. If you get a negative answer, perhaps you'll want to offer them some developmental opportunities.

These are just some employee engagement questions you can include on your survey software to help give you some insight on whether your employees are engaging with your company or not. Although you may be skeptical if these types of surveys will work, just try them out. You'll be surprised to learn what your team has to say.
