Order questions from general to specific and shorten the recalling period

The order of the questions is important. Use your survey system to divide your survey into distinct categories. For each category ask, general and easy questions before questions that are probing or difficult to answer.

If the question requires the respondent to recall information from memory, keep the recalling period short.

Example:

Poor: In the last year how often did you use our survey tool?

Better: In the last month, how often did you use our survey tool?

Remember that you will always get no more than what you ask for... Happy Surveying!
