The report main tab defines basic parameters for the report.

• Conversion log: When a report is created through a copy operation, a conversion log is available for the report. The log contains information about potential issue detected by the copy operation. These issues should be reviewed and corrected as necessary.

• Report name: The name for the report. The name is shown in the report list. The name is required.

• Public:  Specifies if the report is public. Public report are available to any user in the organization and do not require authentication to run. Public reports are not available in the  On Demand service.

• Publish: Specifies is the report should be published to respondents. Published reports are available to respondents who have a login to the system. The reports are available in the Portal for the user. The report will appear in the Portal for a user when the user has started answering all of the surveys for the report.

• Title page graphic: The graphic to show in the title page for the report.

• Report title: The title for the report. The report title is shown in the title page for the report.

• Report subtitle: The subtitle for the report. The report subtitle is shown in the title page for the report.

• Show page title: Specifies if the page title is shown in the report.

• Show survey summary: Specifies if a high level summary of answers and a time distribution of answer is shown at the beginning of the report.

• Show question codes: Specifies if questions codes in shorthand notation will be shown in the report. Note that question code will be shown irrespective of the value for the option in contingency tables (cross-tabs) and when responses are itemized (see Edit report element).

• Automatic numbering: Controls the number of sections, report elements, and questions within report. If set, the numbering shown in the report will be based on a 3-level hierarchy shown below:
  
  1. section title
  1.1 report element title
  1.1.1 question title
  
  If the option is not set, then section, report elements and questions will not be numbered automatically in the report.

• Multi-section report: Specifies if the report comprises a single section or multiple sections. A single section report may still contain multiple report elements. The organization of reports in sections and report elements is detailed here.

• Surveys: The surveys for the report. The available surveys are the surveys for which the user has analyst privileges.

When scripting is enabled, the main tab in the report setup screen includes a script field. The script defined in the field is executed for any report element that also includes a script. The script defined at the level of the report can be used to define function and utilities common to the script for the report elements.
