2025 Law Firm COO/ED/Administrator/Manager Survey

Welcome to the 2025 Blickstein Group Survey. This survey is designed to collect information on the compensation and role of the lead business operations executive at law firms of all sizes. It should take less than ten minutes to participate and we will share our results back to you for benchmarking. Thank you for your participation and support.
This survey is only for the most senior business executive in a law firm who fulfills that role on a full-time basis. Typical titles include Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Chief of Staff, Executive Director, Firm Administrator, Firm Manager, and Office Administrator. This survey is NOT for anyone who reports to the most senior business executive, such as a CFO who reports to the COO. This survey is also NOT for practicing lawyers who also have administrative roles.
No individual or firm-specific data provided in response to this survey will be shared with anyone. All data will be kept completely confidential and only aggregated data will be reported.

3.
What is your title or closest equivalent title? ✱
If your title includes one of the following, please select it even if your title includes more, such as "Executive Director and CFO" -- select "Executive Director" or "Firm Administrator, Head of HR" -- select "Firm Administrator"
4.
What is your highest level of education?
If you are a CPA, check "College degree" (unless you also have a JD or an MBA). Check only one. "Highest" generally corresponds to the number of years it takes to earn the degree. By this measure, JD is "higher" than MBA (3 years vs. 2 years). PhD is "higher" than both of them.
If you earned two degrees after college, such as an MBA and a JD, please list the other degree here.  "Degrees" do not include CPA, SPHR, CLM or other credentials.
